What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for the site to work. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional: we only set them if you agree, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
Your choice
When you first visit our website, we ask whether you accept optional cookies. Rejecting them is as easy as accepting them, and the site works either way. You can change your mind at any time:
If you withdraw consent, we stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies from our website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in from working.

These are needed for the service you ask for, such as signing in and paying, so they do not need consent.

If you use the Bookwick dashboard, your browser’s local storage also remembers a few display choices you make, such as dark mode and calendar view. This stays on your device and is not used to track you.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics on bookwick.com (not on businesses’ booking pages or in the dashboard) to understand which pages are visited and improve them. We have switched off Google’s advertising features and Google signals, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Google processes this data for us; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Maps (optional)
Business booking pages can show a Google Map of the business’s location. The map only loads if you choose “Show map” or accept maps in your cookie choices. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps only when you click it.
Payments
If you pay on a booking page, the payment form is provided by Stripe or PayPal, which set the cookies they need to take the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are essential to the payment you asked to make and are governed by Stripe’s and PayPal’s cookie policies.
