Write your description

  1. Step 1: In About, type a short description of your business (up to 2,000 characters).
  2. Step 2: Click Save description.

Tip: Make the first sentence count. Your description appears on your business page, and search engines show it as the page summary.

Add photos

  1. Step 1: In Photos, click Upload photo and choose an image. Add one at a time.
  2. Step 2: Use the arrows to reorder. The first photo is your main image and is marked Main.

Set opening times

  1. Step 1: In Opening times, set the hours for each day, or tick Closed.
  2. Step 2: Click Save opening times.

Good to know: These hours are only shown to customers on your business page. The times people can actually book come from Availability and each staff member's working hours.

Add your cancellation and privacy policies

Both are in Policies on Business profile.

  1. Step 1: Write your Cancellation policy. Customers see it on your booking page and just before they confirm.
  2. Step 2: To ask customers to agree to your own privacy policy, tick Ask customers to agree to my privacy policy, then add a link to it or paste the text.
  3. Step 3: Click Save policies.

Good to know: Customers always tick that they agree to Bookwick's privacy policy before booking. With yours switched on, they tick a second box for yours, and the date they agreed is kept on their customer record.

See your page

Click View booking page at the top of any dashboard page to see what customers see. Your photos, description, opening times, address and map appear on your business page (below); the address comes from Locations.

Get found on Google with a business page

Your booking page (bookwick.com/w/your-name) is the link you share. Search engines do not list it. To be found by new customers searching online, publish a business page as well: a full page with your services and prices, description, opening times, address, map and policies.

  1. Step 1: Open Business page.
  2. Step 2: Fill in what the checklist asks for (each Add link takes you to the right place): an active service, an About description, your address in Locations, your Opening times and a Cancellation policy.
  3. Step 3: Switch on Business page for search engines. Your page goes live at bookwick.com/book/your-name and is added to our sitemap, so search engines can find it.

Tip: Use Preview your business page to see it before you publish. Only you can see the preview.

Good to know: If you later remove a required detail, the page is hidden until you add it back, and customers are sent to your booking page instead.
